ABOUT

I'd dreamt of opening a cafe since forever, and in 2011, opened vegas & rose in the beautiful city of Ballarat, regional Victoria. We'd moved earlier that same year from Melbourne with our kids, both under the age of 3.

Such fun, but so many crazy long hours, and after 5 super fun years we closed the doors to spend time with our young family. You know how it is, chasing that work / life balance thing?!

I couldn't stay away from my love of baking and creating for too long though, and opened the vegas & rose online food store in 2018.

Supporting our local growers, suppliers, and using seasonal produce wherever possible has always been important to us. Big fan of our backyard organic veggie patch too!

Not sure if we’ll ever do the bricks and mortar thing again. Never say never, right? For now we open our Online store a few times a year. We do love a good pop up event though and you'll find vegas & rose popping up at local foodie events ( which is always such fun! )

When I'm not baking brownies you'll find me road tripping somewhere in Australia with the family and our dogs Frankie and Vinnie in our 1965 Viscount Caravan or taking Photographs for my other business, Vegas & Rose Photography.
